I have not been able to get on here in a while because projects have backed up. The record player cabinet is JUST NOW getting it's wood built in it. Painted tomorrow..
I put on my face book that I would be giving out a secret recipe for my chalk paint, rather than buying the expensive paint that is $50.00 a quart. This can be mixed up in about 15 minutes, and ready for your projects and dries in about 30 minutes IF you do it right.
Mix 1/2 cup Calcium Carbonate, 1/2 cup water, 1 AND 1/2 cups LATEX paint together in a jar. I used a pint canning jar, and put the lid on it afterwards to save it. ** Very important to remember when painting with this!! Paint slow, and do NOT PAINT HEAVY COATS!!! This will not dry.. Wait until coat is completely dry, and paint your second coat. You will only need to touch up. Streaks will disappear.
**** I buy this Calcium Carbonate at AMAZON.COM You may find it somewhere cheaper..Paint goes a long way.. ENJOY YOUR PROJECT!
